About the event
Host: Prof. Siddharta Mishra
Organised by: Dr. Georgios Kissas, Vera Balmer
From extracting patient specific information of the cardiovascular system to accelerating simulations of complex physics systems, from predicting catastrophic weather events to optimizing the shape of the transport vehicles to reduce fuel consumption, the success of AI in the sciences is becoming more and more apparent in the recent years. In this track, Professors from academia and Researchers from industry are going to present their work on the interface of science and AI, and how the combination enables tackling complex real world problems that was previously cost/time inefficient or even impossible. The track will include a panel discussion were the different presenters will discuss the different capabilities that AI + Science enable, what are the great challenges and successes and what the next steps into tackling challenging problems, e.g. drug discovery or weather prediction, are going to be. Finally, the…
