Artificial intelligence (AI) presents important opportunities for work and for individuals, companies, and societies. However, we are yet to fully understand how AI will alter the fundamental characteristics of jobs as they are currently designed, and how jobs should be designed when working with AI (Parker & Grote, 2022). The dynamic field in-between the design of work with AI in mind and the design of AI with work in mind occupies the researchers initiating this track at the interface of technology development and work and organizational psychology. While human-centeredness often associates interface design enhancing user-experience, in this track we go beyond this definition, presenting and discussing ways that AI can be designed with human work in mind.
