Join us for an insightful workshop that uncovers the potential of library data as a resource for applied AI. The vast amounts of structured and unstructured information held in and by libraries can provide a reliable and diverse source of data for many purposes like the training of language models. However, effectively extracting this data includes tackling challenges ranging from reading out data to copyright issues. In this workshop, you will learn how AI is enabling scalable analysis of academic literature and other library data to reveal new insights. We will see first-hand how AI can be used to analyse data on research outputs and publication patterns. We will also showcase innovative AI-powered journal recommenders that can identify patterns and extract valuable information from large datasets far more efficiently than traditional methods.
